FAQS

I realize that many of your questions may be personal in nature–and those we can deal with one-on-one–but below are the answers to questions that I am asked regularly about how I operate my practice that might be helpful for you to know.

Q. Do you offer free consultations or flat fee packages?

A. The practice is not structured to offer free, or flat fee, services. We offer a reasonable hourly rate (prorated for partial hours) that is designed to ensure that clients are only invoiced for the time that they need, rather than spreading the cost of free or flat fee services across everyone. As an example, if a client only needs my help for 15 minutes, they receive a bill for only 15 minutes of my time. Alternatively, if a client has a more extensive need, the invoice will reflect the actual time that was required for their matter.

Q. Will you represent me in litigation?

A. While I have extensive litigation experience, my focus is no longer in the courtroom. Instead, I counsel clients to help them resolve disputes and/or provide legal advice up to the point that litigation commences. In cases where a litigator is needed, I am happy to provide referrals to experienced and appropriate litigators.

Q. Will you be a guest speaker to a group of my friends, colleagues or professional organizations?

A. Yes – I am always open to speaking with groups. If you have a topic in mind or would like some ideas, please contact me and we can discuss the options, convenient dates, and fees.
